Flower Preservation
The craft of wedding bouquet preservation goes far beyond hanging flowers upside down. Luxury preservation is a meticulous process that allows the flowers to dry while retaining their vibrant colors and delicate textures. This includes: heat methods, silica gels, flower presses, epoxy resin and more. Every flower has different needs, so there is no “one size fits all” approach. Flowressence takes care to use whatever method will make your flowers look their absolute best for a lifetime. Color Enhancement
Color Enhancement is a process by which a flower preservation artist uses a variety of mediums to restore and preserve a dried flower's color. The truth is, even the brightest of flowers fade over time— yet, some worry that adding colors to their flowers will make them appear unnatural. At Flowressence, we provide an answer to this problem by offering what we call Authentic Color Restoration. In this method, we correct in a way that remains true to the flower or greenery texture. We include shading that imitates the flowers when dried, instead of attempting to recreate their tones when fresh. Finally, we assess color boldness levels, mimicking petals based on their levels of transparency or opaqueness. These methods, along with the use of archival quality pigments, come together to produce the most natural and long-lasting look.
Quality Display
Museum Acrylic is now the standard at Flowressence. With a Museum Grade Display, the acrylic is made in such a way to prevent the typical “glass glare.” This makes the art appear as if you are looking at it without any covering at all, and often allows you to better see the details of your flowers. This also provides more flexibility on where you can display it, as you won’t have to worry about pesky glares. Along with creating a more luxurious appearance, this type of acrylic also provides 99% UV protection.
Bouquet Restoration
Do not be dismayed if you missed the window to get your wedding bouquet preserved— Flowressence is able to restore old flowers to their former glory through a careful process of rehydration, pressing, reconstructing, and color correcting. Whether it’s a few weeks after your wedding or a few years, don’t toss your memory: get it restored!

Hardwood Frames
At Flowressence, your frame is just as important as your flowers. We believe that a piece designed to last a lifetime needs a frame that will last one, too. That is why we use solid hardwood types like maple, oak, poplar, and black walnut to encapsulate your precious blooms. Each frame is custom made and and available as a shadow box, traditional frame, floating frame, or round frame.

Dimitri has many years of experience hand crafting wooden frames. This year, he partnered with Flowressence to create custom styles based on the most requested frame types. Dimitri’s woodwork is marked by stellar craftsmenship and reliable caliber.
Meet Chad and Jen!
Behind The Pressed Peony is husband-and-wife duo Jen and Chad, who live in Slinger, Wisconsin. Jen brings the creative vision, preserving meaningful flowers into beautiful keepsakes, while Chad brings his craftsmanship to life by creating the custom wood frames that showcase each piece.
A talented builder and woodworker, Chad is incredibly meticulous about every detail—including the unique oval frames he creates, a special option that isn’t often found in floral preservation. Together, they make the perfect team: Jen with the flowers, Chad with wood, and a whole lot of love and craftsmanship in between.

Bouquet preservation typically starts at $350 and ranges all the way up to $3,000. It depends on the framing materials used, whether or not the flowers have to be reconstructed, and if color enhancement is included in the service. Because your bridal bouquet is one of a kind, we recommend doing your research whenn it comes to booking an artist; cheaper isn’t always better!

We recommend waiting no longer than a week after your big day to drop off or ship your flowers to a preservation artist. Pressed pieces are more forgiving, but 3D creations require fresher flowers for an immaculate look. We highly recommend booking your service in advance for best results!
