Turning Blooms into Everlasting Memories
At Flowressence, we focus on preserving the detail of every flower — because the details tell a story.
About the process:
The craft of floral preservation goes far beyond hanging flowers upside down. I have developed a complex and meticulous process that not only ensures the flowers are dried but also, ensures they retain their vibrant colors and delicate textures. This includes: heat methods, silica gels, flower presses, epoxy resin and more. Every flower has different needs, so there is no “one size fits all” approach. Flowressence takes care to use whatever method will make your flowers look their absolute best, for as long as possible.
Color Correction
In the floral preservation sphere, color correction is a process by which an artist uses a variety of mediums to enhance a flower’s color after it is preserved. The goal is to mimic the color of the flower when it was fresh, giving it a “live” look. The biggest benefit of color correction is: your flowers will remain vibrant forever! The truth is, even the brightest of flowers fade over time. Some find it beautiful to age alongside their flowers, while others prefer a timeless look. Due to the plethora of benefits associated with color correction, Flowressence now includes it in every pricing package— because we believe it’s worth it. However, any client can opt-out of this service for a discounted price.
Why choose us?
Can you imagine after the stress of a wedding, being able to drop off your bouquet directly into trustworthy hands?!
Online platforms like Etsy do exist, but chances are, the vendor isn’t local…making it harder to access their services. Flowressence is a business curated just for you: the newlyweds of the Midwest. You can be sure that you will get that “small-business” feel, marked by involvement in the process, thorough communication, attention to detail, and personal touches — every time.
Something else that sets us apart in the industry is our perspective on preservation. We don’t just see a bouquet— we see each individual flower and leaf. This allows us to be perfectionists when it comes to preserving your flowers; we will not be content with a project until we are happy with how each flower looks. Such personal attention to the parts results in an immaculate whole.
